I picked up two of these lights a litte over a year ago for my wife and me. These lights are not the brightest but bright enough that you wont out run the light. They are great for urban and offroad use. I have had cars flash their brights at me indicating they have obviously seen me comming, which is the point. This light.is way more than a be seen light and really is functional. I use this as my primary light on my handle bar and the battery pack is secured in the same spot centered on the bar just infront of the stem. The light looks great and I leave the light attatched to the bike. The light has survived abuse and the hot summer sun pounding it day in and day out. The battery pack is easy to change out batteries and is in a water resistant tube. I have used the light in down pours and it worked just fine. I will buy this light again if needed for a handle bar light. It is a bit big to attatch to the helmet with the battery pack. I have used the.light.on the helmet then tossed the.battery pack in my camel back to power the light. I would suggest the EOS for the helmet since it is a self contained unit without an external battery pack. The run time is almost forever even on Kirkland brand batteries. The estimmates on the' web site are very conservitive. I usually have to swap out batteries every Three month or so. Princeton tech is awesome stuff and I believe it is still made in America. You cant go wrong with this light.
